Literally True The Book

Literally True The book. My latest book describing seven instances where literalism helps to understand the passages. Do you know which day the Bible says Christ was crucified on? Did you know Christ was speaking only to his eleven disciples when he gave the Great Commission? Did you realize that Christ was speaking to Israel when he famously said you are the light of the world? This book puts contextual understanding at a premium in order to get at the original intent.

Because You Asked

Second Edition

Concise answers to the big Biblical questions. Have you ever wondered what the Bible has to say about something? Basic questions are answered here, with the author’s life experiences frequently given as helpful anecdotes. This book is filled with all sorts of life questions that nearly everyone wonders about from time to time. What does the Bible say about eternal life? sin? heaven on earth? the Second Coming? the rapture? the devil? hell? wickedness? Israel? All of these and more are answered in a short answer format, so that you might quickly get a conservative Biblical perspective.

America’s Awakenings

Recent release!

When I started studying the Awakenings, I had little idea of them or how they were instrumental in the development of our country. When our country was founded, in spite of the many beliefs otherwise, Christians were in a definite minority. This book explores the change towards church growth in the successive awakenings, until in the 1800s, more than half the country was churched. Today we find ourselves in a spiritual desert, a society almost utterly devoid of Christianity. We have not been this far away from Christ as a nation in a very long time. Not only are we devoid of Christian morals, we have forgotten the very one to whom we owe our existence. How are we as Christians going to turn it around? This book explores the awakenings and tries to draw from them ways which we might ask of God for yet a final awakening. The author also draws from his unique experience the Fourth Great Awakening and depicts some of the wonders of God that happened in a farm boy’s life, seemingly on the outskirts of is now known as the Fourth Great Awakening.

Please consider doing a review. It is very helpful to beginning authors.

As I wrote this book, America’s Awakenings, I could not help but wonder if our gracious and incredible God would not bless us one more time and bring us one more awakening. Waiting expectantly is the job that he has given us all. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we were caught up just as we were praying for one more time of blessing? Dickens is not the only one with great expectations. I have them, and I am watching.
